Soccer Recap: Lake Park Comes Up Short

Lake Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Addison Trail Blazers. While losing is never fun, Lake Park can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while Addison Trail are ranked 92nd).

Lake Park's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Addison Trail, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Lake Park will be playing in front of their home fans against West Chicago at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Addison Trail, they will head out to take on Willowbrook at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Willowbrook will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Addison Trail surely won't give up without a fight.
