Basketball Recap: Shawnee Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Shawnee was handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Celina on Friday. The Shawnee Indians claimed a resounding 62-33 win over the Celina Bulldogs. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-12.

Shawnee's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jagger Hutchins led the charge by going 9 of 13 on his way to 23 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Beckett Bertke, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 15 points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.4 points per game.
