It was a good run, but Sylmar unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 3-1 to the Van Nuys Wolves. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-17, 22-25, 25-21.

Sylmar's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Van Nuys, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sylmar will take on San Fernando at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Van Nuys, they will square off against Panorama at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
