Fort Myers has gone 9-0-1 against Palmetto Ridge recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Fort Myers Green Wave will be playing at home against the Palmetto Ridge Bears at 5:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Palmetto Ridge better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Fort Myers really get things going. Fort Myers' defense stepped up to hand Cape Coral a 3-0 shutout last Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Green Wave sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Giana Daltrui and Lyla Perk scored all three of Fort Myers' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 29 goals.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Palmetto Ridge made sure to put some goals up on the board against Bonita Springs on Thursday. They blew past the Bullsharks 9-1.

Palmetto Ridge has also been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 36 goals over those eight matches. As for Fort Myers, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4-1.

Everything went Fort Myers' way against Palmetto Ridge when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as Fort Myers made off with a 4-0 victory. Does Fort Myers have another victory up their sleeve, or will Palmetto Ridge turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
