Recap: West Broward Bobcats vs. Flanagan Falcons
On Friday, The West Broward Bobcats got themselves on the board against the Flanagan Falcons, but the Flanagan Falcons never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Falcons 51-0 on the road. The result was nothing new for West Broward, who have now won three matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.
West Broward's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jonathan Morillo led the charge by throwing for 224 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Elijah DeWoskin, who rushed for 125 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries.
West Broward's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. The heavy lifting was done by Luis Rojas and Tristan Lewis who racked up five sacks between them.
West Broward has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Flanagan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5-1.
West Broward does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Flanagan will be playing in front of their home fans against Somerset Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
