Templeton's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Atascadero Greyhounds 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since September 6th.

Templeton was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (104-102), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 18-25, 19-25, 25-20, 15-12.

Gabriela Barroso paced Templeton's offense, picking up 13 kills. Barroso got some help from Bradee Breckenridge and her 35 assists. Breckenridge was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Despite the defeat, Atascadero saw an underclassman step up: freshman Sequoia Trejo had 12 digs and two assists.

Templeton's victory ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 9-16. As for Atascadero, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 22-8.

Templeton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against St. Joseph on the 9th. As for Atascadero, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Paso Robles on the 9th.
