Templeton took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Atascadero, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Greyhounds 3-2 on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their four-match losing streak.
If you add up the scores from across all five sets (104-102) Templeton actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 25-22, 18-25, 19-25, 25-20, 15-12.
Gabriela Barroso paced Templeton's offense, picking up 13 kills. Barroso got some help from Bradee Breckenridge and her 35 assists. Breckenridge was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.
