Recap: Weeki Wachee Hornets vs. Crystal River Pirates
The Weeki Wachee Hornets stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Crystal River 68-14 at home. Winning may never get old, but Weeki Wachee sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Weeki Wachee's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Paige Atwater led the charge by scoring 23 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Joelys Rodriguez, who scored 12 points along with six steals and two blocks.
Weeki Wachee pushed their record up to 14-7 with that win, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 48.67 points. As for Crystal River, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
