Football Recap: Treasure Coast Takes a Loss

Treasure Coast extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Friday, dropping them down to 0-5. They took a blow against the West Boca Raton Bulls, falling 50-6. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 135th, while the Bulls are ranked seventh).

As for West Boca Raton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1. That 44 point margin sets a new team best for them this season.

Javian Mallory continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 179 yards and two scores on only six carries. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Omari McNeal, who rushed for 36 yards and one TD.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Treasure Coast will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Atlantic at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. The Eagles' defense has only allowed 13.2 points per game this season, so the Titans' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for West Boca Raton, they will host Dwyer at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulls will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.8 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
