Basketball Game Preview: Central Red Devils vs. Bangor Christian Patriots

The Central Red Devils will square off against the Bangor Christian Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Bangor Christian took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Central, who comes in off a win.

Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Searsport 77-31 on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks on offense in their last four games, Bangor Christian finally came back down to earth on Monday. They received a blow as they fell 43-26 to Schenck. The matchup marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Central has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points per game. As for Bangor Christian, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-4.

Central suffered a grim 61-37 defeat to Bangor Christian in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Central was down 40-10.
