Soccer Game Preview: Clark vs. SA Roosevelt

Clark is on a four-game streak of home losses, and SA Roosevelt a nine-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Clark Cougars will be playing at home against the SA Roosevelt Rough Riders at 7:00 p.m. Clark has given up an average of 3 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Clark fell victim to Brandeis and their airtight defense on Saturday. They lost 8-0 to the Broncos. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 501st, while the Broncos are ranked 34th).

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, SA Roosevelt was not quite Churchill's equal in the second half on Saturday. They fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 3-2.

Clark's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for SA Roosevelt, their loss dropped their record down to 0-17.

Clark was able to grind out a solid win over SA Roosevelt in their previous matchup back in February, winning 4-2. Does Clark have another victory up their sleeve, or will SA Roosevelt turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
