Preview: Sussex Central Golden Knights vs. Milford Buccaneers
Sussex Central is on a three-game streak of home losses, Milford an eight-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. The Sussex Central Golden Knights will take on the Milford Buccaneers at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Sussex Central comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 15 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Last Thursday, Sussex Central took a serious blow against Sussex Tech, falling 48-15.
Meanwhile, Milford had to suffer through a rough 52-13 loss at the hands of Cape Henlopen. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Milford has scored all season.
Sussex Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Milford, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
Sussex Central didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Milford when the teams last played back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 48-43 win. Will Sussex Central repeat their success, or does Milford have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
