Football Game Preview: Pleasant Hill Billies vs. Cascade Christian Challengers + How To Watch

Pleasant Hill hasn't had much luck against Cascade Christian recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Billies will venture away from home to take on the Challengers at 7:00 p.m.

On Friday, Pleasant Hill was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 34-29 to Madras.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cascade Christian). They claimed a resounding 77-6 victory over Lakeview. The Challengers haven't had any issues with the Honkers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Cascade Christian's win came from a few key players Pleasant Hill will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Bryson Walker, who rushed for 84 yards and a pair of scores. He is also on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Mikey Covey, who rushed for 70 yards and one TD.

Cascade Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 227 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Cascade Christian, adding 29 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Seth Scaglione, who ran a punt back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a kickoff return touchdown from Covey.

Cascade Christian's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Pleasant Hill, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-2.

Pleasant Hill took a serious blow against Cascade Christian in their previous meeting back in September of 2019, falling 42-0. Thankfully for the Billies, Kiegan Schaan (who rushed for 141 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries, and also threw for 138 yards and a pair of TDs) won't be suiting up this time.
