It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Holy Cross ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They skirted past the E.D. White Cardinals 6-4. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Chris Sercovich made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits over five innings pitched. Sercovich was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-5.

In other batting news, Holy Cross got a big performance out of Ryder Planchard, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was William Andrade, who went 1-for-5 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Holy Cross' victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for E.D. White, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Holy Cross will have a chance to go back-to-back against E.D. White: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
