Round Mountain came tearing into Friday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 45-26 victory over the Tonopah Muckers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 44-31 back in December of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Round Mountain to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ava Faga, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards. Another player making a difference was Layla Faga, who posted ten points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Round Mountain smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in nine consecutive matchups.

Tonopah lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Trinity Blackburn, who had eight points. Blackburn is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played. Tiffany Snyder also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Round Mountain now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Tonopah, their record is now 8-8.

Round Mountain will face off against Pahrump Valley at 3:30 a.m. on Friday. Tonopah has already played their next game, a 42-31 win against Beatty on the 18th.
