Basketball Game Preview: Calistoga Wildcats vs. Roseland University Prep Knights

Calistoga hasn't had much luck against Roseland University Prep recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Calistoga Wildcats will venture away from home to take on the Roseland University Prep Knights at 8:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.

Roseland University Prep will be up against a hot Calistoga team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Calistoga breezed by Victory Christian Academy to the tune of 57-29 on Tuesday. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Roseland University Prep came into Tuesday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against Roseland Collegiate Prep on Tuesday as Roseland University Prep made off with a 46-22 victory.

Calistoga is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Roseland University Prep, their win bumped their record up to 5-9.

Calistoga didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Roseland University Prep in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 58-52 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Calistoga since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
