Riley Whelan Game Report: vs West Oaks Academy

Passers beware: Riley Whelan came down with his first-ever interception on Friday and he's no doubt on the hunt for more. He also made two total tackles and defended one pass as Marco Island Academy took down West Oaks Academy 18-12. We certainly expect to see more performances from Whelan considering he's already seeing the field as a sophomore.

Looking ahead, Whelan and Marco Island Academy will challenge Central Florida Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will enter the matchup having just beaten Trinity Prep, so the Rays will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
