Recap: Brownsburg Bulldogs vs. Kokomo Wildkats
The Brownsburg Bulldogs pushed their score all the way to 58 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were dealt a 87-58 defeat at the hands of Kokomo. Brownsburg was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Kokomo apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Kokomo had a senior duo take command as Flory Bidunga dropped a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds and Karson Rogers scored 22 points along with five rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Bidunga has scored at least 25% of Kokomo's points. Another player making a difference was Zion Bellamy, who scored 12 points along with six assists.
Brownsburg has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Kokomo, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.
Brownsburg will head out on the road to face off against Avon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Avon is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games. As for Kokomo, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Logansport at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Logansport focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday.
