Brandon has gone a perfect 5-0 against Florence recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Brandon will head out to square off against Florence at 6:30 p.m. Brandon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.

While Brandon's win against Oak Grove wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Brandon had just enough and edged out Oak Grove 3-1. The three-run effort marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Dakota Davis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Brandon saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Jenkins, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Florence is still winless after their contest against Puckett back in February, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Wolves. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Eagles have suffered since March 23, 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Brandon and bumps their season record up to 15-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Florence, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Brandon skirted past Florence 8-7 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brandon since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
