Baseball Recap: David Anderson Takes a Loss

David Anderson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 8-5 to the Columbiana Clippers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Clippers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-4 last Monday.

Marc Moore made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Devin Kelly was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

David Anderson now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Columbiana, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-3.

Coming up, David Anderson will be playing in front of their home fans against Chaney at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Columbiana, they are taking a road trip to take on Howland at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Clippers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season.
