Basketball Recap: Montesano Comes Up Short

Montesano was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 69-23 defeat at the hands of the Tumwater Thunderbirds. The contest marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Bryce Morgan was the offensive standout of the game as he posted five points and five steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played.

Montesano's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Tumwater, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Montesano won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Wahkiakum at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Tumwater, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Adna at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
