Soccer Recap: Civic Memorial Takes a Loss

Civic Memorial was the 3-0 winner over Highland when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Civic Memorial couldn't quite close it out.

Civic Memorial is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6. As for Highland, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Civic Memorial will take on Carlinville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Highland, they will head out to face off against Litchfield at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
