Basketball Game Preview: Bayside Bears vs. Eau Gallie Commodores

The Bayside Bears will take on the Eau Gallie Commodores at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Bayside's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.

Bayside is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Palm Bay just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 58-56. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bears have suffered against the Pirates since November 30, 2016.

Meanwhile, Eau Gallie posted their closest victory since December 18, 2024 on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 37-34 win over Merritt Island.

Eau Gallie's victory bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Bayside, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4.

Bayside didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Eau Gallie when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 49-44 win.
