Dynamic duo of Evan Lapell and Brady Cheney lead Warrensburg to victory

Recap: Warrensburg Burgers vs. Lake George Lakers

Even though the Warrensburg Burgers have not done well against the Lake George Lakers recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Warrensburg came out on top against Lake George by a score of 43-32. The win was familiar territory for Warrensburg who now have four in a row.

Warrensburg was led to victory by Evan Lapell and Brady Cheney. Lapell dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds, while Cheney scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. Lapell is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Steve Schloss, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Lake George lost, one person who can't be blamed is Angelo Bergman. Despite the final result, he scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Bergman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jack Welch, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and two steals.

Warrensburg pushed their record up to 14-5 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Lake George, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.

Warrensburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lake George also has no future games currently scheduled.
