Baseball Recap: Monmouth Academy Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Monmouth Academy's offense. They came up short against the Lisbon Greyhounds on Saturday, falling 13-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Mustangs have suffered since May 5th.

This is the second loss in a row for Monmouth Academy and nudges their season record down to 9-5. As for Lisbon, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Monmouth Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Hall-Dale at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Lisbon will challenge rival Winthrop at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Greyhounds 3.9, the Ramblers 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
