Byron Nelson extended their winning streak (dating back to last season) to 56 on Tuesday, bumping them up to 20-0. They blew past the Southlake Carroll Dragons 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Bobcat, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ashlyn Seay paced Byron Nelson's offense, picking up 23 kills. Seay got some help from Sophee Peterson and her 44 assists. Lexi Proctor controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

As for Southlake Carroll, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 15-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss they have suffered since November 15, 2024.

Despite the defeat, Southlake Carroll saw an underclassman step up: freshman Mariel Elizondo had five digs and two aces.

Byron Nelson and Southlake Carroll should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps National Rankings. The Bobcat will face off against Midlothian at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (2 vs. 153). Meanwhile, Southlake Carroll (ranked first) will meet Trinity (ranked 648th) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
