Baseball Recap: Miller Takes a Loss

After flying high against Falfurrias on Friday, Miller came back down to earth. The Miller Buccaneers fell just short of the West Oso Bears by a score of 4-3 on Friday. The Buccaneers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bears from their previous meeting back in April of 2022.

Miller saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Uriah Howard, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Miller's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for West Oso, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Miller will face off against Alice at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. As for West Oso, they will square off against King at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games West Oso has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
