Sioux County hasn't had much luck against Morrill recently, but that could start to change on Friday. After both having extra time off, both will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 4:30 p.m. Sioux County will be strutting in after a victory while Morrill will be coming in after a loss.
Sioux County took a loss when they played away from home on December 7th, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on December 13th. They blew past Minatare 72-46. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Warriors considering their 29-point performance the game before.

Sioux County had a senior duo take command as Logan Monroe dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds and Josh Perez dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave Perez a new career-high in assists (six). Another player making a difference was Jack Hunter, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 11 points and five rebounds.
Sioux County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive matches dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Morrill duked it out withMitchell last Saturday. Morrill took a hard 49-34 fall against Mitchell. The Lions were down 43-23 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Sioux County will need focus on slowing down Wyler Fisher, one of several Morrill players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 18 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashwin Pittman, who put up ten points in addition to six assists and five boards.
Sioux County's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Morrill, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Sioux County has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 29.7 boards per game. However, it's not like Morrill struggles in that department as they've been averaging 27.6 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
