Volleyball Game Preview: Lexington Minutemen vs. Lakeview Vikings

Lexington hasn't had much luck against Lakeview recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m.

Lexington came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Aurora, falling 3-0.

Lexington took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-15, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Lakeview faced Concordia in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Vikings had just enough and edged out the Mustangs 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Vikings sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Lakeview's victory bumped their record up to 28-4. As for Lexington, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-19.

Lexington couldn't quite get it done against Lakeview in their previous matchup last Thursday as they fell 2-0. Can the Minutemen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
