Football Recap: Bartram Trail Drops Season-High Score on St. Augustine

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bartram Trail). They walked away with a 25-14 victory over the St. Augustine Yellow Jackets on Tuesday. This was payback for the Bears, who suffered a 12-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Kaila Pierce had an outrageously good game as she threw for 172 yards and four touchdowns. A healthy portion of that aerial production (80 yards to be exact) went to Lily Holden, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Bartram Trail's record is now 3-4. As for St. Augustine, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Bartram Trail didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 20-7 win against Riverside on the 12th. As for St. Augustine, they will square off against Florida School for the Deaf & Blind at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Augustine is facing Florida School for the Deaf & Blind at the right time seeing as Florida School for the Deaf & Blind is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
