After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ankeny Centennial, Mason City was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Des Moines North Polar Bears 5-1. The result was nothing new for Mason City, who have now won eight games by three goals or more so far this season.

Mason City's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-4. As for Des Moines North, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.
