Basketball Recap: Cosby Drops Season-High Score on Glen Allen

Cosby scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 70-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Glen Allen Jaguars. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 201st, while the Jaguars are ranked 57th).

It was another big night for Faron Friend, who posted 24 points for Glen Allen. That makes it six consecutive games in which Friend has scored at least a third of the Jaguars' points. Another player making a difference was Hasaan White, who scored 13 points.

Cosby is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points over those games. As for Glen Allen, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.

Cosby will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Huguenot at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2026. Glen Allen will wrap up 2025 with a road trip to face off against L.C. Bird at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday.
