Soccer Game Preview: Lexington vs. Chapin

Lexington is 2-8 against Chapin since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Wildcats will welcome the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Lexington's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Irmo by a score of 2-0. The victory continues a trend for Lexington in their matchups with Irmo: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Chapin entered their tilt with Dutch Fork on Tuesday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They blew past the Silver Foxes 5-2. Considering Chapin have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Chapin pushed their record up to 10-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three matches. As for Lexington, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.
