Softball Recap: River Valley Raiders vs. Alexander Spartans

River Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 7-4 to the Alexander Spartans. That's two games in a row now that River Valley has lost by exactly three runs.

For Alexander's part, Ellie Day made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. Day was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Kaylee Hudnall was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, a triple, and a run. Another player making a difference was Macie Swart, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
