Volleyball Game Preview: Dunnellon Tigers vs. North Marion Colts

Dunnellon is 0-8 against North Marion since March of 2021 but things could change on Monday. The Dunnellon Tigers will host the North Marion Colts at 6:00 p.m. Dunnellon will be strutting in after a victory while North Marion will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with six losses in a row dating back to last season, Dunnellon turned things around against Vanguard on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Knights. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Tigers have posted against the Knights since April 26, 2021.

Dunnellon found their leader in sophomore Joshua Jimenez, who had 17 assists and five digs. That's the most assists Jimenez has posted since back in March of 2024.

Meanwhile, North Marion came up short against Forest on Wednesday, falling 3-0.

North Marion took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-20, 25-22.

North Marion's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Dunnellon, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.
