Basketball Recap: Valley Christian Takes a Loss

Valley Christian lost against Sacramento Waldorf back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lions lost 71-50 to the Waves. The contest marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Valley Christian lost, don't look at James Shevchuk. Despite the final result, he went 5-for-12 to rack up 12 points. Another player making a difference was Riley Garcia, who posted seven points and eight boards.

This is the second loss in a row for Valley Christian and nudges their season record down to 2-3. As for Sacramento Waldorf, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Valley Christian will face off against Trinity Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sacramento Waldorf, they will welcome John Adams Academy - El Dorado Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
