Scott won the last time they faced Hugoton and things went their way on Saturday too. The Beavers skirted past the Eagles 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Beavers have posted against the Eagles since October 15, 2022.

Scott had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-19, 25-14.

Peyton Gentry paced Scott's offense, picking up 22 kills. Gentry got some help from Kinleigh Wren and her 22 assists.

Scott's victory bumped their record up to 11-20. As for Hugoton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 17 of their last 21 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-24-4 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Scott beat Hugoton by a score of 2-0 later that day.
