Baseball Game Preview: Spring Lions vs. Dekaney Wildcats

For the second straight game, Spring will face off against Dekaney. The Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Spring will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

Spring proved they can win big on Friday (they won by eight) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Dekaney 4-2.

Carson Culbertson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Julian Curry, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Spring pushed their record up to 15-8 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Dekaney, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-12.
