Softball Game Preview: Conrad Weiser Scouts vs. Twin Valley Raiders

Conrad Weiser is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Twin Valley is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Scouts will welcome the Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Conrad Weiser made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Daniel Boone, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Scouts never let the Blazers get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Scouts considering their one-run performance the game before.

Meanwhile, Twin Valley got the win against Fleetwood on Wednesday by a conclusive 9-0.

Not much got past Erin Cromwell, who gave up just four hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Fleetwood off the board. Cromwell has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ella Herbst, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Hailie Barton was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base.

Conrad Weiser is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Twin Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 11-2.
