Basketball Recap: Purchase Line Red Dragons vs. Marion Center Stingers
Purchase Line was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a 62-27 loss at the hands of the Marion Center Stingers. The Red Dragons were down 53-24 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Jakob Mountain and Anthony Mountain certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Jakob posted nine points and five rebounds, while Anthony had.
Marion Center's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cameron Pack, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 15 points in addition to six assists and five boards. Pack is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ian Kutsch, who went 5 for 8 en route to 11 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Purchase Line's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Marion Center, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-10.
