Volleyball Recap: Preuss UCSD Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Preuss UCSD can now relate to. They came up short against the Mountain Empire Redhawks on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Tritons have struggled against the Redhawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Preuss UCSD was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-17, 25-22.

Preuss UCSD's defeat dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Mountain Empire, their victory was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 26-7.

Preuss UCSD does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mountain Empire, they will challenge O'Farrell Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
