Soccer Recap: Shafter Comes Up Short

Shafter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Taft Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Taft this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 on January 6th.

Shafter's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10-3. As for Taft, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-5-5.

Coincidentally, Shafter and Taft will both be playing McFarland the next time they take the pitch. The Generals will head out to face the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Wildcats will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
