Gogebic [Johnston/Wakefield] put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 38-16 margin over the Ishpeming Hematites. Fans of the Miners have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Gogebic [Johnston/Wakefield] was led to victory by Leland Hollenbeck and Jayden Verrett. Hollenbeck rushed for 117 yards and three TDs on only 13 carries, while Verrett rushed for 143 yards and one score on only six carries. The dominant performance also gave Verrett a new career-high in passing yards (44).

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Gogebic [Johnston/Wakefield] was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 287 rushing yards.
