Basketball Recap: Redmond Triumphs

Redmond hadn't done well against Mount Si recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Redmond Mustangs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 56-53 victory over the Mount Si Wildcats. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the 100-66 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Mount Si lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Latt Ford, who went 6 for 12 en route to 19 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Bonnofsky, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 13 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Redmond and bumps their season record up to 11-3. As for Mount Si, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 9-3 record.

Redmond has already played their next matchup, a 74-52 win against Eastlake on the 17th. As for Mount Si, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-44 loss against Bellevue on the 17th.
