The Tree of Life Christian Trojans will take on the Bishop Rosecrans Bishops in a holiday battle at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday at. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Tree of Life Christian put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 65-43 margin over Delaware Christian. Given Tree of Life Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while Delaware Christian is ranked 616th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Tree of Life Christian relied on the efforts of RaKim White, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds, and Ronald Amoah, who scored 20 points along with nine steals and five assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Amoah has scored at least 25% of Tree of Life Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Sanders, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Bishop Rosecrans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by Miller at home to the tune of 80-43. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 58-21.
Grady Labishak continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 7-for-12 from deep and dropping a double-double on 29 points and ten assists. The matchup was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Xander Daniels, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds.
Tree of Life Christian's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. As for Bishop Rosecrans, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Tree of Life Christian hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 62.8 points per game. It's a different story for Bishop Rosecrans, though, as they've been averaging only 65.6 points per game.
