Basketball Recap: Morgan Comes Up Short

Morgan was the 48-43 winner over Avalon when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Morgan Eagles were beaten by the Avalon Eagles 60-20 on Friday. The match marked Morgan's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Morgan dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Avalon, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Covington the next time they take the court. Morgan will host Covington at 7:15 p.m. on January 3, 2025, while Avalon will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
