Volleyball Recap: Indiana Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Indiana Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Crosspointe Christian Academy Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-4, 25-15.

Crosspointe Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alexis Baskerville led the charge by getting six assists and four aces. Those four aces gave Baskerville a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Autumn DeArmon, who had four aces.

Indiana Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Crosspointe Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 11-2-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Indiana Christian Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Colonial Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Crosspointe Christian Academy will challenge rival Tabernacle Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
