Basketball Recap: Nadia Sogbo's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Northeast over Meade

Northeast lost against Meade back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Northeast Eagles took a 45-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Meade Mustangs.

Northeast lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Nadia Sogbo, who posted 14 points. Sogbo has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Brynn Jones, who scored eight points in addition to nine rebounds and seven steals.

Northeast has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Meade, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-6.

Northeast will take on North County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meade has already played their next contest (against North East), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
