Standley Lake won the last time they faced Conifer and things went their way on Friday too. The Standley Lake Gators simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Conifer Lobos 57-23. The Gators have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 30 points or more this season.
Leading Standley Lake to victory were Sydney Martin and Mikela Alvarado. Martin dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Alvarado went 8-for-13 en route to 17 points and five boards. Martin is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Aaliyah Valenzuela, who posted nine points.
Standley Lake smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Conifer only pulled down two offensive boards.
Bree Leslie and Finley Johnson certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Leslie scored six points and eight boards, while Johnson earned no points and three steals.
