Softball Recap: United Lions vs. Portage Mustangs
United extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 19 on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 0-14 in the process. They lost 14-1 to the Portage Mustangs. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 6-0 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

For Portage's part, Payton Noll and Kendall Stancovich made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Noll tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Stancovich tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. At the plate, Noll went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Stancovich got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
